You will operate screening equipment, monitor access points, conduct inspections, and report security-related concerns while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, crew members, and visitors by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen passengers, carry-on items, luggage, and supplies in accordance with established screening protocols and applicable procedures.
  • Monitor screening equipment and access points, report suspicious items or activities, and escalate concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professional communication.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, terminal spaces, boarding access points, and surrounding perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
