As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to security-related concerns. Through professional communication, visible presence, and teamwork, you will help deter incidents while delivering outstanding customer service with integrity, reliability, and care.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering or exiting the commercial property, following established visitor and contractor procedures.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and delivery records and communicate access-related information to appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, common areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
