Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Guard card is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, perimeter fencing, and other assigned areas to help identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations.
  • Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
