Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, members, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of gardens, visitor areas, buildings, pathways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report unauthorized access or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related activities while maintaining a professional presence in a cultural institution setting.
