Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, loading zones, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, vehicle traffic, and pedestrian activity, verifying access permissions when required and reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Support daily operations by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and maintaining an alert presence while following Allied Universal standards and post orders.
