About The Position

As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, personnel, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors and designated site contacts.
