As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide courteous assistance to patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be willing to receive required hospital vaccinations.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established healthcare location protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and escort requests in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or unusual activity accurately and report relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
