As a Front Desk Officer at a government location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor alarm panels, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government office front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying visitor credentials, following sign-in procedures, issuing visitor passes, and directing guests to appropriate offices or services.
  • Answer phones, provide general information, and maintain professional communication with staff, visitors, and public-service partners.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident reports, and other required front-desk records while helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
