Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Must have at least 1 year of security experience.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, verifying visitors, and/or communicating with authorized personnel regarding deliveries, events, or after-hours activity.
  • Support a respectful residential and campus-focused environment by addressing policy-related concerns, assisting with directions and information, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or other property issues that could impact daily operations.
