Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures and supporting access control, visitor management, and other security-related protocols at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate details to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas for unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, and/or policy concerns, and document observations through required reports and activity logs.
• Support emergency response activities by following post orders, assisting with evacuations and reentry procedures, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or access issues that may affect site operations.
