As a Security Officer at a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least two years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access to the residential property, observe visitor and vendor activity, and report suspicious or unauthorized activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and observations accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
