As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials as directed, and providing directions or assistance to patients and visitors.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site-specific reporting requirements.
