Requirements

  • Possess at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Staff the front desk and serve as the first point of contact, greeting visitors professionally and directing them according to site access protocols.
  • Verify visitor identification, maintain accurate visitor records, issue and retrieve visitor credentials, and communicate arrivals to appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor access to the lobby and reception area, observe activity at the entry point, and report suspicious activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and document security-related events in accordance with site procedures.
