Requirements

Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the property, including common areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry when required, and help to deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence.
Complete required reports, logs, and shift documentation while communicating relevant security-related information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
