As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot rounds, manage access control and badges, and remain highly visible to help reduce incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and responding to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and public responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility facilities, yards, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Control access at gates and entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining entry logs, and directing deliveries to designated areas.
  • Complete detailed shift documentation, including patrol findings, incident reports, and equipment or property condition observations, and communicate notable activity to site leadership.
