As an unarmed, driving post Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm, customer-focused communication. You will document security-related activity, support staff, patients, and visitors, and work as part of a team that reflects Allied Universal values of integrity, reliability, agility, innovation, and a caring culture that puts people first.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of entrances, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or inappropriate activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assisting with directions, identifying unusual conditions, and reporting maintenance or hazard concerns per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or first responders as directed.
  • Complete incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations and handoffs clearly to Allied Universal supervision and/or oncoming personnel.
