Requirements

  • Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets for daily tasks, including but not limited to email communication, document creation, and online collaboration tools.
  • All candidates must be at least 21 years of age at the time of employment.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, campus concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, and campus perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, documenting incidents and completing required reports.
  • Support a welcoming educational environment by providing directions, answering general questions, and maintaining professional communication with the campus community.
