Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, campus information, and reporting of unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
