Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, issuing access materials as authorized, and reporting discrepancies through established procedures.
  • Observe vehicle and pedestrian entry and exit activity, inspect authorized deliveries as directed, and assist with maintaining orderly traffic flow at controlled access areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access-control areas, business grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
