Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, contractors, and public agency representatives by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a public museum location.
  • Operate dispatch communications systems to receive, document, prioritize, and relay security-related calls, alarms, service requests, and incident information to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, incident records, and dispatch documentation in accordance with site procedures and applicable government facility requirements.
  • Monitor security-related systems, cameras, access points, and communications equipment; report unusual conditions, equipment issues, and policy concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating communications with on-site personnel and emergency responders as directed.
