As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and badge access, and respond to alarms and access-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical manufacturing location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-control and visitor records.
  • Control access for contractors, vendors, and vehicles in accordance with site requirements, including directing visitors to appropriate check-in locations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
