Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.
• Alarm Panel Experience (B202)Candidates must demonstrate experience in operating and managing alarm panel systems. This includes knowledge of alarm protocols, troubleshooting, and responding to alarm events.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)Proficiency in using computers or tablets is essential. Candidates should be comfortable navigating software applications, managing emails, and utilizing digital communication tools.
• Customer Service Experience (B219)Candidates should possess strong customer service skills, with a proven track record of effectively addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
• Loss Prevention (B210)Experience in loss prevention strategies and practices is required. Candidates should be knowledgeable about theft prevention techniques, inventory management, and safety protocols.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access to distribution areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and other restricted locations; report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, loading areas, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
