About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Systems Operator in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a government aviation location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and assist employees and visitors with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to airport and government facility stakeholders by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, and control entry and exit for employees, contractors, visitors, and authorized vehicles in accordance with established procedures.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting observations through required channels.
  • Maintain accurate access logs, visitor records, and incident documentation in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
