As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will help create a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, responding to security-related concerns, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain clear communication, and help deter incidents while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and tenants by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Operate access-control systems and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
