As an Access Control Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit activity, verify credentials, monitor assigned areas, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and help address security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

• Possess a TSA-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, vendors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points for a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and maintain accurate visitor and vehicle access records.
• Control access to designated areas, communicate access requirements professionally, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
