Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and professional communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, and supporting security-related protocols at the location.
  • Control access to the property by screening visitors, contractors, and deliveries, maintaining accurate logs, and reporting unusual activity to site leadership and/or emergency contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help identify potential concerns and support security-related operations.
  • Communicate with employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors regarding site rules, badge requirements, and restricted access procedures in a professional manner.
