As a Security Officer Access Coordinator in Cape Canaveral, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support a professional, welcoming environment. You will remain visible, assist with routine patrols, and provide strong customer service and communication. Guided by a caring culture, teamwork, reliability, agility, and integrity, you will play an important role in daily security-related operations.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, vendors, and/or employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and document access activity to support security-related protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
  • Assist with directions, general inquiries, and report writing while maintaining awareness of restricted areas, delivery activity, and/or after-hours access requests.
