As an Access Control Security Professional at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and badge access, and help maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use computer or tablet systems to support access-control operations. Requirements

  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor or contractor access documentation, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Control vehicle and pedestrian access in accordance with site requirements, direct visitors to appropriate check-in locations, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal supervision as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
