Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, perimeter areas, and critical infrastructure locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
  • Assist with the control of keys, badges, and other access devices in accordance with site-specific policies.
