Requirements

  • A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Verify identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation before allowing entry or directing individuals to designated areas.
  • Monitor access points, gates, and incoming and outgoing traffic; maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and access-related records.
  • Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and escalating matters as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facility grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
