Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Guard card is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures and reporting security-related concerns in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with supervisors, local contacts, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or maintenance issues.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials or authorizations when required, and document security-related events, observations, and/or incidents in accurate daily reports.
• Support emergency response activities at the location by assisting with site protocols, directing foot and vehicle traffic when needed, and helping occupants follow instructions during unusual or critical situations.
