As a Security Officer - Overnight Utility Company Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor entry as directed, and support security-related screening and badge procedures in accordance with site policies.
• Support daily operations by communicating with site personnel, following post orders, and reporting maintenance, hazard, and/or security-related issues observed during patrols.
