As a Security Officer - Overnight Technology Campus Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer at a dynamic technology location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access activities while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, work areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
Support Allied Universal standards by preparing clear reports, providing directions and assistance, and helping with security-related operations during routine activities and special events.
