About The Position

As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Akron, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Support access control activities by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials when required, and documenting visitor and/or vehicle activity in accordance with location protocols.
  • Prepare clear reports of incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and assist with directing people during medical, fire, and/or other emergency-related situations as needed.
