About The Position

As a Security Officer Driving Role Patrol Associate in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities across an educational campus environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with campus contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence hall exteriors, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, check credentials when required, and assist with visitor directions, after-hours building access requests, and/or enforcement of location rules and expectations.
• Support daily campus operations by reporting maintenance concerns, lighting issues, unsecured doors, and other security-related or property-related conditions to the appropriate personnel.
