About The Position

As a Security Officer - Overnight Patrol in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for guests, visitors, and staff. You will use strong communication and customer service skills to respond to concerns, report observations, and collaborate with the Allied Universal team with integrity, reliability, and care.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel grounds, guest-access areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
