As a Security Officer - Overnight Lobby Reception in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic education location as a Front Desk Officer, where you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor alarms and cameras, and support daily security-related operations with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, greeting students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors, and assisting with access and visitor check-in activities.
  • Monitor entry points, review identification and/or visitor credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with location policies and post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, service requests, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with campus contacts and emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Maintain awareness of front desk activity, observe and report unusual behavior and/or security-related concerns, and document incidents, visitors, and daily activity in required logs and reports.
