About The Position

As a Security Officer Overnight Access Control in East Rockaway, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or identification, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location in accordance with post orders and client-directed procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and communicating relevant details to supervisors and/or site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and key access areas, noting unusual conditions, equipment concerns, and/or policy violations within the location.
• Assist with visitor management, vehicle access, and delivery coordination for a manufacturing and industrial location, maintaining required logs, reports, and other security-related records.
