About The Position

As a Security Officer Outdoor Retail Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a driving Security Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and clients. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with financial institution procedures, helping to support authorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
  • Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation; communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
