Security Officer Outdoor Patrol

Requirements
- New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and assigned security-related responsibilities at a commercial property location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or property-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, lobbies, loading areas, and other access points to help support authorized entry, observe site activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance issues.
- Complete routine reports and document incidents, patrol activity, and/or notable observations in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site-specific expectations.
