About The Position

As a Security Officer NYS Licensed Patrol Specialist in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies for a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including common areas, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry points, observe on-site activity, and document security-related incidents, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations in accordance with Allied Universal and site guidelines.
