As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a government human services location, you will patrol assigned areas, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with clear communication and helpful service. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and partner with your team to keep operations running smoothly. Pay Rate: $21.24 / Hour

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public by following site-specific procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Respond to incidents, conflicts, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or site leadership as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter policy violations and identify hazards, damage, or suspicious activity.
• Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or appointments when required, managing visitor check-in, and directing individuals to appropriate service areas.
• Document patrols, observations, and incidents in written reports and logs, and communicate relevant information to the oncoming officer and/or site representatives.
