Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and strong communication. You will deliver welcoming customer service to guests and staff while supporting a caring, agile, and reliable team that acts with integrity. This role requires an Armed Guard Card and/or License. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Thur 09:30 AM - 07:30 PM

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, members, staff, and/or visitors at a cultural institution by following site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Carry a firearm and perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and all applicable local and state laws and/or licensing requirements.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and public emergency services when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and report maintenance concerns.
Complete required security-related reports such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and/or patrol documentation, and communicate timely updates to the appropriate contacts.
