As a Security Officer - Museum Patrol in Jeffersonville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a busy logistics and distribution location. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document observations clearly. You will greet team members and drivers, assist with access control as needed, and communicate concerns promptly. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific policies, controlling access points, and supporting security-related procedures at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, loading docks, trailer yards, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor and document inbound and outbound vehicle and trailer activity, including checking driver identification, logging arrivals and departures, and reporting irregularities.
  • Complete detailed reports and shift logs, communicate notable events during post handoff, and support investigations by preserving observations and available video and/or access-control information.
