About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol with Tablet in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
• Have a state, county, or city issued security license, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific, security-related procedures and policies, including directing guests and answering routine questions.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, offices, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or hazard concerns.
• Monitor entrances, checkpoints, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and controlling access in accordance with location rules.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and public responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and logs, escalating unusual activity and/or policy violations through the chain of command.
