As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-profile government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access control while delivering helpful customer service. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and partner with site teams to support daily operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, galleries, offices, and perimeter areas, observing for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or potential policy violations that may help to deter incidents.
  • Monitor and help manage access control at designated posts, verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization as required by location procedures, and directing guests to appropriate entrances and check-in points.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with alarms, medical calls, disturbances, and/or evacuations while coordinating with site leadership and public agency partners as directed.
  • Document patrol activities, visitor interactions, and incident details in written reports, logs, and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff.
