Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following security-related procedures and healthcare location policies.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and provide directions and assistance throughout the healthcare location.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations accurately, and communicate security-related concerns to designated personnel and/or emergency responders.
