As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting operations through teamwork, integrity, agility, reliability, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, as a Branch Flex employee.
  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must be available for last-minute shift scheduling as a Branch Flex employee.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility services location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, utility-related equipment areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors, maintaining visitor logs, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations.
  • Complete accurate reports, patrol documentation, and shift communications regarding incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
