Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support shoppers, tenants, and staff through clear communication, routine patrols, and a people-first approach grounded in teamwork, reliability, agility, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or public authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unusual activity, assist with access-related issues, and provide directions and general assistance to guests in a professional manner.
• Support retail property operations by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior, while following post orders and client site expectations.
