As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver outstanding customer service while supporting security-related operations with integrity, teamwork, and the agile, reliable, innovative approach of Allied Universal.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, parking areas, entry points, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report suspicious or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
